Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data SkillBloom holds about you, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Data we collect
Account details supplied by your administrator or by you (name, email address, phone number, role and account status), learning activity (enrolments, lesson completion, last video position, certificates), and technical data such as sign-in timestamps needed to keep the service secure.
2. Why we use it
To give you access to the courses you are enrolled in, track your progress, issue certificates, send service emails (activation, welcome, enrolment confirmations, publication notices and password-change alerts), and keep the platform secure.
3. Administrative audit records
For accountability and compliance we keep an immutable audit log of administrative actions — who created an account, changed a role, deactivated a user, published or deleted a course, and who accepted which version of these policies. Audit entries are written server-side, cannot be edited or deleted from the application, and are visible only to administrators.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your data. It is shared only with the infrastructure providers that run the platform — our managed database, file storage and transactional email provider — and with the trainer of a course you are enrolled in, who can see your name and progress on that course.
5. Retention
Account and learning records are kept while your account exists and for as long as we are legally required to keep them afterwards. Audit records are retained for compliance purposes even after an account is deactivated.
6. Your rights
You can access and correct your profile details from your account settings, and you can ask us to export or delete your personal data by emailing hello@skillbloom.learn. Some records, such as audit entries and issued certificates, may be retained where we have a legal or compliance obligation to do so.
7. Security
Data is protected with row-level access rules so people can only reach the records they are entitled to. Course videos and materials are stored privately and served through short-lived signed links.
